1. Binh Ba, Cam Ranh

To reach Binh Ba Island, you can fly to Cam Ranh Airport, or take the train to Nha Trang railway station, then rent a motorbike to go to Ba Ngoi port which is about 60 kilometers from there on the road Bai Dai (Long Beach) – Cam Ranh Airport. 2. Vinh Hy Bay, Ninh Thuan:

To go to Hy, there is a budget way is to travel by train departing from the evening and arriving in the morning of the next day from Ho Chi Minh City and then rent a motorcycle in Phan Rang to ride to Vinh Hy where is about 30 km far away. Remember to visit Hang Rai during the trip.


3. Cu Lao Cham, Quang Nam:

To get to Cu Lao Cham (Cham Island), you must firstly go to Da Nang City. From Danang, you can rent a motorbike, or take a bus or taxi to come to Hoi An ancient town.
From Cua Dai (Hoi An), there are many ways to Cham Island such as: high-speed canoe (VND 200,000/ roundtrip ticket), or hiring a boat of fishermen as a package tour. If you want to both save the cost and get new experience, you can also go to the island with the fair boats transporting vegetables to the island with a ticket price of VND 30,000/ trip.

5. Ly Son, Quang Ngai:

In order to reach Ly Son Island, the fastest is that you buy a plane ticket from Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City travelling to Chu Lai airport (50 km from Sa Ky port) and then move forward. There are daily flights to this airport.

There are free buses from Chu Lai airport to Quang Ngai city. Once arriving to Quang Ngai bus station, you take bus No. 3 to get to Sa Ky port (20 km, the fare of VND 15,000). Alternatively, you can take the shuttle buses and purchase boat ticket from these buses.


6. Nam Du, Kien Giang

In order to reach Nam Du, you can divide your journey into 2 routes. Route 1: Saigon – Rach Gia: Take the bus of famous brand (you should book the ticket 1 week earlier to have a good place to sleep) or motorcycle. Besides, you buy ticket of the bus departing at 11pm at the Western Bus (motorbike overnight parking site is available at the bus station) and arriving to Rach Gia at 6am next morning. Here, you catch motorbike taxi or transit car to come to high speed pier.
Route 2: Rach Gia – Dao Lon (Big Island- Nam Du archipelago): travelling by speedboat starting at 8h15 (there is only one departure each day) with a fare of 220,000 VND. High-speed boats do not depart on days when the sea surges above level 5 which is announced 2 hours before the departure. If you come to Rach Gia but are unable to visit Big Island, you can visit Hon Son. After arriving in the Big Island, you hire fishermen’s boats to visit the islets with affordable prices.

Alternatively, you can take the boat from Rach Gia to Phu Quoc then rent a motorbike to go around the famous beaches like Rach Tram, Bai Sao, Bai Dai … or rent a canoe to visit the surrounding islands.
