About 10 kilometers from Hoa Binh city, Giang Mo village, Binh Thanh commune, Cao Phong district has long been a fascinating destination attracting numerous tourists, both domestic and international. Peaceful life of more than one hundred households of Muong tribe is simple, but it attracts tourists by the culture of living and stilt house architecture which preserves marks of ancient Muong people’s house.

Giang Mo village has 117 houses on stilts with over 460 inhabitants who are Muong ethnic people, mainly living by farming and animal husbandry. The cultural identity characteristics of Muong ethnic people’s tradition is still conserved, preserved and is known a highlight destination of community culture on the tourist map of Hoa Binh province by both Vietnamese and foreign tourists.

Muong people in Giang Mo are always willing to invite distinguished guests to enjoy the specialties of the mountains which they plant, hunt such as sweet rice, pork, buffalo meat, wild chicken, bitter bamboo shoots, spring fish, wine, banana wine… All of them are processed into traditional dishes, cleverly arranged and decorated on the green leaf, showing respect, preserving the beauty of the culture of ancient peoples by homeowners.
